Hi friends. Just confirmed I’ll be producing the new CD from Nashville based trio Secret Club. This band is a screaming, writhing, indie rock good time with fantastic songs to boot. Indie Media Weekly says: “Secret Club are a powerhouse underground trio that everyone needs to hear”. Stay tuned for updates etc.

The jury is in on Sea Knight’s ep “Where Are You?” and it’s a unanimous grand slam. With critic after critic singing its praise and loving their vivacious live shows.   I couldn’t be more proud of this San Francisco band.  Look for them on Pandora in the next month.

I’m starting off the year with some exciting projects, one of which is writing with Christian Lopez.Christian is an 18 year old, singer songwriter from West Virginia, who is simply amazing. You may have seen him last year on American Idol, where he did well, but I have a good feeling he’s just getting started with his career.

I’m headed out to San Francisco, CA to produce one of my favorite new bands, Sea Knight.
Here’s how their bio at www.seaknightmusic.com describes them: sea knight’s music can be at once fierce and as soft as flight. Delivering dynamic, moody indie rock, the San Francisco band constantly switches between minimalism and layered rumblings—dark melodies are balanced with stirring rock energy, and genuine emotion is at the heart of lyrics and sound. One song might lure you in with haunting vocals while the next song might blast heavy drums with powerful wailing.

Next week I go into the studio with Cardboard Kids from Tyler, Texas.  These guys have fantastic songs,
great work ethic and lots of attitude. Their music packs a dirty bluesy punch with hooks that stay in
your head long after you’ve heard them. Joe Costa (Ben Folds Five,  Kesha) will be engineering.

Restavrant from Los Angeles, California are a 2 piece guitar/drum duo that just
defy any category. Some call it Trailer park electro, some call it trash trance and some like savingcountrymusic.com have this to say “This music comes at you like some crazy berserker dude kicking and swinging nun chucks, or a rooster with razor blades tied to its talons flying at your head. You may not exactly know what’s going on at first, but it certainly will get your heart pumping.”  This is the second time I’ve worked with Restavrant and they were superb  .  E.P. drops soon. 

I wanted to officially announce the launch of American Echo Records. I’ve partnered up with Robyn Davis of Indie Squared to form a small boutique label that will cater to music we both think deserves attention. Our first signing is Cardboard Kids out of Tyler, Texas. Great songs, rich vocals and amazing work ethic make these guys stand out to us. I’m so stoked to be recording some tracks with the awesome Adley Stump! You may her know her from NBC’s hit show “The Voice” or you might have seen her recently touring in a town near you. She is an artist poised to show this world what she’s got and I’m happy to be working with her. Grammy award winner Chad Carlson will be engineering. Stay tuned.
